NoI mean I don't think you need to use x360ce to change the axis. You can do it in game but you have to set it up as a custom controller ;) I personally use Motioninjoy to emulate a PS3 pad as a 360 pad and then just use the custom setup option in the Assetto Corsa options menu, otherwise you're stuck using the shoulder axis for throttle Yeah I tried the custom setup, after I told it to load the Xbox 360 setup, and now it just uses the default Xbox 360 setup, and ignores the custom setup settings. I don't care about using the gas and brake at the same time, I've used a gamepad for racing games in this way since Gran Turismo 2, I'm not changing for Assetto Corsa unless I get a G27.
Youcan delete the whole assetto corsa folder from the documents tab to reset everything. I'm sure you've already tested if your controller works on other games

Myfirst pointer would be try setting up your controller as a "wheel" in AC. The Thumb knob to stear, "2" button to accelerate, the "3" button to break. The problem you might have there is using buttons for accelerate and brake. The game will only assign axes from the wheel or controller menus, I think.
